Customized Weekly Training Program:
We have three training programs available to suit any ability and fitness level if you desire more in depth instruction.
Couch to 5K program (formally Level I) is an 9-week program designed for the beginner. The program designed to help you complete a 5K (3.1 mile) event. We will guide you through each week to keep you on track. ($65 running club members $90 non-Members) Next new session starts on July 5th.
Advance plan is a 12 week program (including runners bootcamp but adds secific on training day workouts) designed to improve your 5K and 10K race performance. Workouts to improve your speed include base building, strength, form & mechanics, running economy, hill & repetition training, intervals, threshold running, and peaking for that target event. The class is designed for the runner who has a 5K personal record (PR) and wants to get faster or compete in a longer race. Some participants in the Advance class may plan to participate in a half-marathon or marathon. Discussion topics include injury prevention, nutrition, stretching, form, cross training, racing, shoes, apparel and much more. ($125 running club members $150 non-Members) The 2010 MetroPCS Dallas White Rock Marathon Presented by NexBank race weekend is set for December 4th and 5th, 2010. Running events during race weekend are listed below. Registration for 2010 events will begin on June 1, 2010. Registration cap set at 23,000. We are offering a 5 month program to get you ready for the full or half marathon ($225 running club members $250 non-Members and includes race registration) Training begins on July 5th. You will receive email inspiration, customized training plan, training log, tech shirt, and discussion topics via our online blog including injury prevention, nutrition, stretching, running form, cross training, racing tips, shoes, apparel and much more with each training program. You also get a 10% discount on items purchased at the Running Center.
